MECA Academy

The first of its kind in the Faculty of Engineering ASU. A real-life business simulation where participants learn from company experts and apply knowledge in case studies.

Launched 2009

MECA Internship

Provides technical tracks for students. Sessions are given by managers of multinational companies, followed by practical projects.

MECA Seminars

A set of seminars throughout the year aimed at widening student knowledge and opening minds to different career topics.

MECAzine

The official MECA magazine featuring human development, entertainment, sports, and career articles.

2005

  • MECA was founded.

2006

  • Held the biggest employment fair in ASU (Career Mart) with 22+ companies.

  • Launched SCOPES.

2007

  • MECA Academy's first launch (Main Academic Sponsor: Schneider Electric).

  • MECA Charter established.

2008

  • Expanded Academy modules to Finance and Project Management.

  • ExxonMobil Sessions started.

Expansion & Identity 2009–2014

2009

  • Launched MECA Internship.

  • Partnered with Microsoft for Imagine Cup.

  • First MECA Closing at Fairmont Towers.

  • Published "MECA Way" book.
